The units are tastefully decorated, neat. The very very good breakfast offers local food: breads and fruit. The staff are knowledgeable and very helpful, no complains at all...
Nothing at all.

As a gluten-free traveler, I had plenty of options at the buffet and the restaurant manager was very helpful with my meal for the plane ride home. The hotel room was comfortable, clean, and provided a smoking area. The breakfast selection was excellent, offering both Chinese and Western options, including an egg and noodle station. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to assist guests, even helping with taxi arrangements and ensuring their safety. The hotel's proximity to the Palace Hotel and Wangfujing shopping street made it convenient for dining, shopping, and exploring. The mini fridge in the room also had complimentary local beers and soft drinks.
I felt so comfortable during my stay that I have no reason to complain.

Hotel has traces of use which is not bad. The location is perfect. Staff friendly, value for money, breakfast good ,. Booked an excursion to the wall through the hotel, which was great.

Could not be improved in any way.

The drinks and location were excellent, and fortunately, free Wi-Fi was available.

Great, quiet location directly at the forbidden city. Friendly, helpful staff. Free room upgrade on the first day.
No door to the bathroom, which in many ways limits the comfort. Exterior cladding creates a prison atmosphere. Food refill at the breakfast was very slow. Metro station quite far away, but bus connection to Tiananmen is just around the corner.

I had a wonderful stay at this luxurious hotel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The location of the hotel was fantastic, with easy access to nearby attractions such as the Forbidden City and Wangfunjing shopping street. I loved being able to explore the area on foot and soak in the character of the neighborhood.
I highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

The location next to the Forbidden City and near the Wangfujing Shopping Street is unbeatable. Large, modern rooms. The glazed bathroom can be closed with curtains. In our category very quiet non-smoking room with courtyard. Free minibar with beer and soft drinks, which is refilled daily! Especially friendly and attentive staff, all of whom speak proper English. We have purchased online tickets for the Forbidden City (highly recommended!). Gladly again!

It was clean, and the people were competent and knowledgeable. The restaurant was modern with genuine Chinese food, I tried delightful dishes. The location was good, for example, Wangfujing Street was not very far from the hotel. You could walk to a shopping area and a night market.
Didn't like the staff, some of them were very unkind.

The hotel was located in an area full of character, close to the Forbidden Palace. I could easily walk to the shopping area in 10 minutes. The breakfast offered lots of delicious options, including both Western and Chinese dishes. The staff was helpful, assisting me with contacting tour operators and even allowing me to check in early without any extra charges.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

Great location, right next to the back door of the Forbidden City and close to Tiananmen Square. It was only a short 10-minute walk to the subway station. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, despite being in the city center. The staff at the reception spoke English fluently, which made communication easy. There were also plenty of small cafes nearby for food options.
Despite a few drawbacks, such as poor lighting in the room and the restaurant not being open on our first night, I would still recommend Hotel Kapok - Forbidden City. The location, friendly staff, and great breakfast made our stay enjoyable.

Had a nice Christmas vacation with great complimentary treats. The hotel's location was spot-on for visiting major attractions with ease. Loved the comfortable bed.
The staff needs to work on their communication skills; they were not as warm as I would have liked.
